KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. is extending its heartfelt condolences to all the families of the dead and wounded from the horrific shooting early Sunday morning at a nightclub in Orlando, Fla., by an alleged radicalized religious extremist.
Included among the murdered were two members of the Army Reserve. Identified today was Spc. Angel Candelario-Padro, 28, who served in the Puerto Rico National Guard from January 2006 to 2012 before transferring to the U.S. Army Reserve. Identified earlier this week was Capt. Antonio Davon Brown, 30, who had deployed to Kuwait from April 2010 to March 2011.
“No words can adequately express the grief and compassion the nation feels for the victims and their loved ones,” said VFW National Commander John A. Biedrzycki Jr., “just as there are no words that can adequately express the anger we feel toward those who bring war to our shores.”
