VFW Life member from Tualatin, Oregon, Rocky Bixby is #StillServing his community by volunteering at several organizations that help the elderly population.
“I want to pay it forward to the people who protected our younger generations,” he said.
A member of VFW Post 3452 in Tualatin, Bixby volunteers at Ride Connection, an organization that helps veterans and seniors secure transportation. He also serves on two budgeting committees for TriMet, a bus, light rail and commuter rail service provider in Portland, Oregon, and on the Washington County Disability, Aging and Veteran Services committee.
“Helping the elderly have as much freedom as possible is what motivates me to keep serving,” Bixby said.
