The 126th VFW National Convention will occur from Aug. 9 to Aug. 13 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus, Ohio.
Former VFW Adjutant General Kevin Jones, left, and Chris Haynes from VFW Post 7596 in Franklin, Ohio, take a break last July during the second annual Cornhole Tournament at VFW’s National Convention. More than $35,000 was raised during the tournament in support of VFW’s National Veterans Service. While the convention’s main purpose is to allow VFW delegates to vote on resolutions, attend workshops and hear from prominent speakers, it also offers a time for camaraderie. This is one of the reasons VFW is excited to host its 3rd Annual VFW National Convention Cornhole Series.
Presented by the veteran-owned KC Crew, the largest adult sports league in Kansas City, Missouri, the series will occur on Sunday, Aug. 10, and Monday, Aug. 11. All proceeds from the competition go to VFW PACT Act benefit assistance.
Last year’s event had more than 130 participants and 65 teams competing in the two-day tournament. More than $35,000 was raised.
