Sport Clips Haircuts
Sport Clips locations across the nation are currently raising
funds for its Help A Hero campaign, which supports the VFW’s “Sport Clips Help
A Hero Scholarship” program.
On Veterans Day, November 11, 2014, $1
from every haircut service will go to Help A Hero. In addition, many Sport
Clips locations will offer free haircuts to active duty U.S. service members
and veterans this Veterans Day, with valid proof of service. For participating

Lines
Jefferson Lines is proud to
announce that in honor of Veterans Day this year, it will be offering free
travel for veterans on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. “Veterans have
provided a great service for our country and Jefferson Lines wants to thank
them for their dedication and commitment. We strive to be connected to our
communities and this is one way in which we can achieve that vision,” says
Kevin Pursey, Director of Marketing.
To qualify for free travel, veterans
must attain tickets in person at a Jefferson Lines company location (see list
of qualifying locations below) by showing their DD 214 Form and an ID, such as
a driver’s license. No phone orders will be accepted. Veterans can attain these
free tickets anytime from October 20, 2014 up to and including November 11,
2014. Free tickets must be for travel departing on November 11 for both one-way
and roundtrip tickets. Veterans are welcome to return on a different date for
roundtrip tickets.

National
Parks Commemorate Veterans Day
Free Admission
and Special Programs Honor U.S. Military Veterans
National parks, such as the Appalachian
Trail, continue to soothe, inspire and provide recreational opportunities for all.
And, on Veterans Day,
November 11, every National Park Service
entrance fee will be waived for everyone to commemorate the service of U.S.
Armed Forces veterans.
“From frontier forts to battlefields and
memorials, there are almost 100 national park
sites with direct connections to the military,” said National Park Service
Director Jonathan B. Jarvis. “We are committed to telling the story of our
veterans. We must never forget their valor and their service to our country.”
On Veterans Day, many parks will also
hold special events. Hear the story of America’s first top guns at Tuskegee
Airmen National Historic Site in Alabama.
Visit the historic Nike Hercules Missile base – a remnant of the Cold
War – in Everglades National Park. Witness an enlistment during a commemoration
at Valley Forge. Tour Mammoth Cave and learn about its role in the War of 1812.
