St. Louis, Mo., was the host city to the 115th VFW National Convention, July 19-23, 2014.
Approximately 10,000 VFW and Ladies Auxiliary members from around the world convened for the five-day event held at the America's Center in downtown St. Louis. With the famed Gateway Arch, an acclaimed zoo, lively nightlife and a variety of museums, St. Louis offered something for everyone.
Vice President Joe Biden, Acting VA Secretary Sloan Gibson and Senators Claire McCaskill and Roy Blunt were just a few guests to address convention delegation. VFW awards were presented to former U.S. ambassador Ryan C. Crocker, the U.S. Navy hospital corpsmen, Stars and Stripe and many more.
In a huge display of support for America's veterans, the VFW teamed up with Budweiser for a night of fun and honor at the Military Salute Parade and Patriotic Celebration.
